Hey guys, wondering if this head unit will work in s2 vy commodore 04?

It's proably the american one or something, but with shipping it's only $350 AUD. Thats ALOT cheaper then $600-1000 i've seen this head unit sold for in Australia. Just wondering if it would work in the commodore? and will it be nstc? not pal? or it's a universal player? Has anyone played nstc dvd's in there australian jvc dvd units?

Yeah it will work. The only thing that is sometimes different about overseas models is the radio tuner works in a different bandwidth. There are ways of fixing that though.

Good luck getting that shipped to australia, most items like that on checkout will say it cannot be shipped. Infact just tried that item and it said no go...

Ah really? That sucks. Well i wasn't going to buy it for a while, i might have to organize someone in the states to buy it then ship it out. Because that price is super cheap!

hmmn a 5% fee. Thats pretty good. It would look great in the VY for lets say $400 max. Would look good in your ute to!

I think it would fit perfectly two. The default head unit is like 7"?

Landed for $420 AUD, installed and works a treat.

Was a plug and play as I had a CDA-9855 before.

nice! Well i pick up my Commodore next week, Vy 04 Exec. And still not to sure what to do with the head unit. I mean i guess the space is kinda usefull, but having a 7" would be kinda cool to make it look complete.
