Can anyone tell me about the outputs on a stock VE SV6 6 Stacker?
I gather there is obviously a L&R Front and Rear outputs but how does the centre speaker fit in? Also Ive been tole there is no RCA output on them can someone confirm?
The reason Im asking is that I still have Splits, Amps, Subs, 6x9 & 6" from my old car im looking to put in without changing the Head Unit. I probably wont use the subs (I dont want to loose the boot space) but I was thinking of putting amped splits in the front, 6x9 in the back and replacing the centre (which I have blown) with a better quiality 6" speaker.
Alrighty, the VE uses a dual voice coil speaker for the centre, with each voice coil receiving a signal from left and right. I wouldnt bother with upgrading that speaker, i believe it is 3" too.
No the stock head-unit does not have RCA outputs, im yet to come across a stock unit that does.
Upgrade the stock door speakers with splits and run them off a decent amp (100wrms minimum), if that dosent float your boat go with the 6x9s off an amp if not wanting to sacrifice room in the boot for subs.
150db in a commodore =
use a axial crossover to run an amp
Is a line output converter the same thing or are they different? If so what is cheaper / better?

Thanks Holdenboy I will forget about the centre speaker, amp the splits and run the 6x9's off the head unit. Someone else mentioned in another thread that the VE's have 8" hole in the parcel shelf is this true and do I have to cut it to fit the 6x9's?
same thing they are $20 at jaycar
na use an amp for all speakers im guessing that 6x9's have more out put than head unit
you want more power from the amp
so if your sub is 100w the amp should be 150w
amps can hit 100% power at half volume like when big bass notes hit
