Headunits and RCA Outputs

Hey,
I'm thinking of changing my exisitng Head Unit im my VY SS. I wana try and stick with a DBL DIN

I've just a bought a new kenwood 4chnl 600w amp powering 2 6x9's , nd 2 diamond 5.25inch

Looking at headunits, most have only 2 pre-outs. am i best looking for 4 preouts, or should i just bridge the speakers on the amp?

You should really get a head unit with 2 or 3 pairs (left & right) of pre-outs. I always recommend people get 3 pairs just in case they want a sub in future.

Which head units have you looked at? What is your price range?

i'm looking at the clarion cx609a or jvc KW-XG706. both have 4 pre-outs

the sony WXGT78UI and kenwood have only 2pre-outs

being a dbl din, theres very few i can look at.

are there any sin din h/u that have 4 pre-outs if i go down that option ?

When you say 4 pre-outs, its actually 2 pairs of preouts (front and rear, rear is switchable to subwoofer on most head-units). Not having a go at you or anything, just remember this for the future so you dont confuse people

Theres plenty of single DIN head-units that have 2 and 3 pairs of preouts, heres a few options for a similar price:

I would suggest shooting him. The replacement rep either wont be able to or will be able to. So theres a 50% chance for improvement.

lol, it was not long ago that pioneer took all their reps off the road. but they have most of them back on from my understanding. I know Kenwood still have no reps on the road...useless pricks, but Sammi...she is still a sweetheart.
