    Default How do you hook up a noise suppressor into your audio system?

    Hi guys, just wondering how you install a noise suppressor into audio system? This is for my bro's aftermarket system, who has an VE SV6. Ok more to the point, he has this interference whine when he plugs his ipod charger in. He was told to get a noise suppressor but it comes with no instructions. It has three wires, 1 Blue which I guess is remote wire, 1 Red + and 1 Black -. My question is, does this go on the stereo amp or does it go elsewhere in the wiring?

    Cheers Ray

    Thumbs down

    The IPOD charger is the cause of the interference not the system
    stick the surpressor on the charger
    usual wiring is
    Black to body = earth
    Red = +ative to batery
    Blue = line through +ative to charger power + lead

    dude, if you have no expierence electrically then I would leave it alone and buy a better quality iPod charger.

    I'm quite competent electrically (car audio) mate just don't understand the principle of how to connect the suppressor. Why it always the simplest things seem to be the hardest?!?!?!

    As far as I know my bruv paid over $160 for this thing, so not a cheap China brand of Ebay!

    Can't I just connect it to the stereo amp, attached to the positive, negative and remote wires? Will it work that way? Is there any other types available if this is the wrong device?

    it needs an earth and it goes in series with the power wire of your charger... you are going to need to pull apart the charger and hardwire it to the car.
