Hey guys, looking at this gear from ryda and wondering if it will all work together and sound good.
Ryda Car Audio - Pioneer Car Audio TS-C1602 Car Speakers($132.85)
Those splits powered by this amp
Ryda Car Audio - Clarion Car Audio APX2121 Car Amplifier($113.20)
And finally this Sub/amp combo
Ryda Car Audio - Clarion Car Audio SP12XBA 12" Subwoofer in Box with Amplifier
Thanks guys, probs a stupid question but I'm new to the car audio game.![]()
Depends on what you expect from it mate. And it depends on your perception of "good".
Is this a minor upgrade or do you really love your sound?

Im only 17 and this is my first car so I don't want anything crazy, I don't have a massive budget either.
mate i would say you should be pretty happy with what you have, and for your budget just remember you have to learn to crawl before you can walk.
and one more thing to add no point going best of the best straight away, your far too young to jump into the best of the best- wih all respect mind you, atleast this way you get to find what works for you and it leaves plenty of room for improvement, hope this has helped mate.
Enjoy the sounds....
I think you could get better value (and sound) by going with Jaycar front speakers and a better amplifier. Heres the Jaycar Splits:
6.5" Precision Response Kevlar splits - Jaycar Electronics
As for an amp to power them, if your not able to spend much money then i think buying second had is a great option for you. Heres a few suitable amps i found on ebay:
JBL GTO 75.2 2 channel amplifier - eBay Amplifiers, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 22-Oct-09 19:45:15 AEDST)
I personally use one of these amps, have owned it for 12 years without any dramas....powers my front speakers and sounds great. They may look like the "boss" amps at first, but these were made in Germany and are one of the clearest amps ive heard in a long time:
Weconic Germany max output 800W car amplifier. - eBay Amplifiers, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 23-Oct-09 18:11:55 AEDST)
Clarion Amp 400W - eBay Amplifiers, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 24-Oct-09 20:23:18 AEDST)
150db in a commodore =
yes mate. that will work fine for youdon't forget to look at a headunit that has 4 channels of rca output preferably. otherwise you won't be able to fade front to rear so if you sub is too loud or not loud enough then you will just have to deal with it. But otherwise, that will work fine.

You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
Thanks for everything guys, I've also been told to get a 4chl amp to run it all. Whats the pros and cons of that?
an ideal set up would be nice rear speakers to match your fronts and then the four channel to drive your front speakers and your rear speakers....

Extra $70 would get you this now...it's the same amp as what you already looked at....just with 4 channelsRyda Car Audio - Clarion Car Audio APX4241 4 Channel Car Amplifier($186.55)
