I still have the factory radio installed in my 2002 VX Commodore.Recently I had a flat battery and I disconnected the battery to recharge it.When I re-connected it there is power going through to the radio but all it says on the display is CdE and nothing responds. Is the radio cactus or is there something I have to do to get it working again?
The CdE means CODE, when you disconnect power from the stereo, the unit requires you to put in a code. It will usually be found in the owners manual (written down somewhere) or on a card with the books etc.If you dont have / cant find the code then you have two options:
1) Go to a Holden dealership and ask them to retrieve the code for you (from their computer) usually costs around $50-$80.
2) Buy an aftermarket stereo.
