VY stereo issues

Hey Guys , I have a VY acclaim S1 and the stereo has stopped working To explain----
As i turned a corner the radio cut out and soon it smelt like i'd blown a fuse, got home checked all fuses and all are ok turned on the radio and all of the display comes up but no noise, then if you start a CD it all works fine, Back to radio and its gone again?????

err you can't smell a fuse blow so I think you may have cooked something.

Yep just pulled out the unit and as i took it out it rattled???? Took it inside turned it up side down and a ten cent peice fell out that had a big burn mark on it so i think it's stuffed. Now looking for another one

Yep i see this all the time, kids put money in the CD slot etc and the coin shorts out inside the unit.

I've got 2 VY headunits,one has been removed from a new vehicle and the other was removed from my own VY.They are both single disc players in perfect condition with PIN numbers.
