AMP to SUB power output.

I`ve got a 500w RMS monoblock AMP and a 175w RMS SUB and don`t wan`t to blow up the sub what (if any) dial do I turn down for power output?

Has the system be installed / tuned by a pro? If so i would imagine he has set the gain so it dosent distort and therefore damage the sub.

If you still want to turn the amp down abit then adjust the "gain" dial on the amp.

Have a look at the cone while its running. Make sure its not popping out of the box
