Look real nice. Would almost look factory if you have a black surround.

I wouldn't be marketing these to SQ fanatics but hey, I might test a couple and find out they're good for SQ setups as well. This is just a project I'm thinking about to fill the hole on my site: the lack of head units. And I really don't want to have the same sort of products that JB/Strat have, I need to have the edge.

I'd be sceptical of those to be honest. I reckon you should try and stock Eclipse or something.
Eclipse don't like online traders like me. There are avenues which I can pursue to sell the product but I only sell products which I'm an authorised reseller of.
I need to get a couple in and test them tbh.

How about some units that don't have all the hip new age features, but instead offer SQ and some decent tuning capabilities...
Your describing Nakamichi. They didn't do too well in Australia recently.

Thats because 99% of the market want loud noise and flashing lights not quality music and tuning capabilities.
Stock some H/Us with built in strobe neons and other useless crap and watch them fly out the door.

i would buy one cuz my mates have no idea about nakamichi and eclipse
Well that wouldn't be a wise business move! I'll see how interest in these goes and work from there.

hay commyvp if you want to be that 1% there are places where you can get high end gear so must not want it that bad
i know there are places, and i'm currently looking, but obvioulsy, their not as easy to find, get info ect... I just got rid of an Alpine CDA105EI, after using it for a couple of weeks. I don't use Ipod, or bluetooth, or MP3, or any of that crap, i just make a CD, and then use that... If you have any reccomendations, feel free to shoot them my way.
hay mate look at the single din head unit from eclipse for round $700 it has all the things your looking for it actually has the highest rca voltage i have seen
vp, go a clarion hxd2... you wont get much change from 2k tho.
As much as I hate to agree with dynoryder, I love my eclipse h/u. High voltage pre-outs don't count for shit though, I've got 8v on mine and all that means is I have to be really careful when setting the gains.
Some claim it will make a difference to sq, but after using the h/u for 3 years I just don't hear it. I know there will technically more 'detail' in an 8v signal, you'd be able to easily see that on a CRO, but actually hearing a difference on a car stereo? I really doubt that.
Oh if you want high end stuff just let me know and I will import it for you. I'm currently preparing to have some REALLY high end amplifiers/speakers on my site so if you want something really top shelf just let me know and I can probably get it for you.

i dont want to send Joe's thread sideways, but yeah i've looked at some of the Eclipse units, and also the Clarions , in particular, the hxd2, but it's out of my price range. I've noticed, that with a lot of the reviews i'm reading about different h/u's, people quite often say that "it's not as good as the previous model it replaces" So i find the previous model, and then read the same thing. Wondering how far i have to go back, to get what i'm after. I dare say i'm not alone either with this, but when i look at a new h/u, say 2 out of it's 10 main features, are actually of use to me. I know it's just the times, and technology advancing, and it's not the manafactuers fault, their simply catering to the current market, and it's trends.Imagine my excitemnt when i was recently given (for free) a Denon PMA700, in full working order![]()

I reckon stick with any of the eclipse cd7xxx series and you'll be fine. I got a cd5000 which back in the day was the no bs sq eclipse deck to have, whereas the cd7000 had the same sq features with more bells and whistles. The next year they reshuffled the lineup a bit, the cd5100 series was toned down so the cd7100 became the one to get.
btw nice amp![]()
