Head Unit Repair in Perth?!

Hi,

I need the head unit in my VZ repaired. I have the component I need but am not too confident with soldering and I don't want to void the warranty.

There's one place in the City that wanted $200, I have to take the unit out the car (It's double din + i'm useless) and it'll take a week.

Is there a place in Perth (preferably North of the River) that will take the unit out, repair it and put the unit back in?

If u have the component u need, u obviously have a certain degree of knowledge of whats broken and how to fix it. in that case take it to an electronics repair person.

whats actually wrong with it? what nees replacing? I have reasonable electronics knowledge and also done a fair bit of soldering, also my brother is an electronics technician who may be able to help. Not qualified or anything, just have knowledge although my brother has been doing electronics for a few years.

also im quite experience with taking the headunit out so thats not a problem

It's the radio tuner. When the unit was installed (at Albert's) they told me that its the tuner. I emailed the manufacturer and they mailed me the replacement tuner. I'm going to have a go at doing it myself. Wish me luck!
