i recently bought a pair of fusion 6.5" powerplant splits and 6.5" reactor 3 ways
i have a alpine 4 channel amp that gives out
4 x 50rms
or 2x100
no
im not sure if i shud give all 4 speakers 50rms or give the splits the full 100 and runn the 3 ways off the head unit
the head unit is a pioneer and gives out 22rms
i want it to be loud but not distort
thanks
Are they the 120wrms splits? If so then definately give them the full 100w

so headunit power will be enough for the 3 ways
the splits are 120 rms while 3 ways are 100 rms
also whats this 88db and 91db meann
You should hardly hear the rears anyway, so you might as well run them off the headunit so you are getting the most out of the fronts. 100wrms really isn't even enough for the splits
88dB and 91dB are the speaker sensitivities or efficiencies. Don't quote me on this, but the speakers are fed 1w @ 8ohms (2.something volts) and the SPL output is measured at 1m.
Basically, the higher the number the more efficiently the speaker converts the power into sound, and the louder it will be with less power. So, the 91dB ones will be louder than the 88dB ones if you feed them the same power.

If the amp in question, delivers 50 RMS x 4, wouldn't it put out more than 100 RMS x 2, when in bridged mode? what is the model number of the amp?
I agree with HoldenCommodoreVP, it should put out more than double the power when bridged, most amps I've seen create four times the power when bridged then the single channel alone, working with 4 ohm here.
