Default VY headunit Issue "'Voice In'' message after disconecting battery

    Hi Everyone,

This is my fist attempt at posting on the forum i had a Cd stuck in my stock head unit i followed someones advice on disconnecting the battery to get it out it didn't work ( removed the two fuses in stead and it came out) But every since disconnecting the battery the display on head unit says VOICE IN and does nothing else oh the antenna stays up and won't go down. Has anyone else ever had this problem or knows how to fix it.

    Thanks in advance

Do you have a car kit installed? Passenger side behind the kick panel centre console. Have you tried removing the entire radio?
    Cheers,

I'd have a look at the wiring for the carkit.. Just to make sure that "they" haven't just cut off the plug top and the yellow (I think) is touching the body of the car

The removal of the radio was an enquiry not a suggestion as the fault would more than likely remain after the reinsertion.
    Cheers,

    Dave

i had this problem in my ute, if you take out the glove box (simply pull it towards you) there will be a small panel on your right (if you are in the passenger footwell), it's located just to the left of the radio and has 2 small screws, if you remove them this plastic panel will be able to be pulled away and in there will be a unit that looks like a modem, simply unplug the power from this and the voice in problem will be gone! i disconnected mine completely and removed it.
    livin' the low life.
