I just stuck mine with sticky-backed velcro to the tweeter/demister covers, although in the sun they have started to move and made a sticky mess :P.

I think the best way would be to make a simple mount that will slot in between the tweeter cover and the A pillar.

When i had mine i put the them just near the air con vents on the door trim and angled them towards the ear level

before if cut anything on the door trim i did a dry run and used blu tak to make sure that i all looked ok

worked fine and sounded great for me

    Hey arrow,
Actually they do fit where the original ones are, all I did with mine is remove the original tweeters from the brackets they are mounted to, and screwed my new ones to the brackets, then mounted them back in. Couldn't have asked for a cleaner install.

    This.

Only downside is the angling is a bit off, but good enough for a standard install.

I've used the standard mount, as above re-use the stock bracket if you do this.

I've also tried the black plastic triangular cover on the door behind the side mirrors, you'll need to use a hole saw to cut out a mount and run a wire if you do that. Less stealth, but better sound staging I found.

Yea I did that in my old VT, wasn't really happy with using the triangular cover install only because it's curved and if you try and put a tweeter in there then it doesn't sit flush unless you do some fibreglass magic. You're right, it does sound better from there, but all the same requires alot more fabrication if you want it to look good.

I got around that by mounting one edge flush, then glued and trimmed some black fabric around the other edge till it was perfectly flush. Was pretty easy, and looked very professional if I do say so myself

Looks very nice. My only reservations about doing that is that If I want to take them out to sell etc I have to replace the door trims (expensive), whereas it's no big deal to get a couple of plastic triangle panel things (cheap).

Nice job though, bet they sound great.

Yes I was about to say the same as danja, hence why I mounted mine under where the original tweeters were, meaning I don't have to replace anything But I must say it is very much the ideal location to have tweeters and is a very clean install

i put my tweeters in the top air vent on the doors, they point directly at you and pretty easy to put in there. Just had to glue them in and i love them there
