Default VP - Need help with wiring!! :(

    Hi guys!

Just bought a new Headunit 'DEH-1150MPG" Pioneer.. As my old JVC head unit finally died.. Was old..etc etc..

So, the old JVC unit is out.. And Im about to put in the new one.. HOWEVER! with the wiring Im stumped.. I have an AMP.. But i suspect thats OK..

This is my first time replacing a Head Unit. I've done a lot of research on 'how-to' .. but the wiring gets me every time..

Here is a pic of the new wiring harness,

    pic1-

This is the current harness that is still plugged into the car.. I don't think its the Stock one tho.. came with the JVC one i assume

    pic2-

If anyone can tell me what I should do, please help! lol

Do I buy a harness..Or plug the wires directly into the old wiring harness (according to a mate)

Also, gona be hitting up Joe's website for a new Amp & speakers :P Keen for something up to date lol.

[EDIT-UPDATE] the VP has VS front door speaker pods to... But they have a Blue cable for them. Not to worried about having them working tho.. Just keen for my back ones to work

Sorry for my lack of knowledge with this.. But, im VERY keen to learn
    Thank's in advance!
    Mark.

Well since youve already got the old JVC plug, all you need to do is cut each wire individually and solder / tape on your new Pioneer plug, all the wires are the same colours.

    Put simply:
Cut the black wire about 5cm from the old JVC plug, then join this wire to the new black wire in your Pioneer plug. Do the same for every other wire, although theres a few things you need to take care with, like with the yellow wire.....this is constant power so make sure when you cut this wire than it dosent touch any metal, otherwise you'll blow the fuse and need to replace it before the unit will work. Also cut each wire one at a time, cutting more than one may result in joining two wires together with your cutters, which may blow a fuse etc. Strip each wire about 1cm back, then twist them together....solder them and tape or use heatshrink to insulate each wire.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! Will give it a go tomoro..

The black wire is a ground wire.. So still ok to do what you said ? ( I think its a , yes. )

And, by doing this.. Can I expect my AMP and rear speakers to work..As my rear speakers are connected via the AMP

Yes, the black wire is earth.

As for the amp, i assume theres also RCA cables that were plugged into the old JVC head-unit? If so then just plug the RCAs into the rear preouts on the Pioneer head-unit.
