Hey guys, I was happening to flick through a catalogue I found today and I happened to find this.
FUSION Electronics ? Car and Marine Audio
Its a fusion slimline 8" sub with an amp inbuilt? It was only for sale for $250 and I was just wondering has anyone heard one before or any feedback from it?
I know for the price etc. I'm not going to get quality sound but still it'd be better then nothing?
Cheers
Adam
Well, i'd never buy from a manafacuter that's not willing to post the nominal handling specifiactions..
Yeah I know fusion aren't a good or quality brand at all, but I'm only 16, go to school full time and only work part time. So I don't have a grand to spend on a quality sound system..
No idea about that exact product, but in my experience, base level fusion is pretty crap.
In all honesty, I think its best to save up until you can afford to buy decent gear. You will save money in the long run because you won't be constantly upgrading

Even if you spend that money, on a used product of Egay, you'll get something more worthwhile.
I guess I'm not sure. They aren't getting them in until next week so I guess I'll go down and have a listen when they come in. Was just curious if anyone has one or heard them.
Tiny enclosure, doesn't appear to be ported and a smallish subwoofer. It doesn't really seem like it would have any guts. Since your only 16 and it sounds like you have quite a limited cash flow, dare I say this, but I'll agree with HoldenCommodore VP on the Ebay idea. Theres the possibility of losing your money to a dud ofcourse but at least if your buying used, you wont lose much money when you sell it and you can put more money forward to get something really nice when the time comes.

it doesnt even have full specs in the manual! the only extra info is that the sub and amp are each rated to 100w rms... which is VERY low for an amp or sub.
but i guess they are catering to a completely different market with this product. slides under the front seat, doesnt take up any room (in a ute especially important), and it's an 'all in one' setup. dont expect miracles, and for the $250 you'll be able to get better performance in a cheap traditional setup... but that's not a fair comparison because the footprint of this product is it's selling point, not its power.
I dunno, I'm intrigued as to how two of these positioned under each front seat would sound. Certainly better than crappy 6x9's in the parcel shelf out back. Sealed enclosure, easy to wire up, cheap... and above all almost invisible and you still get a dedicated bass source! fusion may have something here, who knows.
