Hey guys,
I know this has been covered plenty of times before but in each thread I checked people seemed to have a different answer but from what I can tell
6' = Should go straight in, correct?
6x9s = Will probably require some cutting / spacers
I'm trying to decide to buy either a pair or 6's or 6x9's, if I have to cut for the 6x9's is it hard? If it is I might just get some decent 6's?
Are you going to be using a subwoofer? 6x9s are essentially redundant if you have a sub.
That said, rear speakers in general are redundant if you have a decent set of front speakers...

Yeah I wouldn't be spending money on rears. As a rule of thumb you will need to get some really beefy fronts so that they can extend down to meet the bass from the 15" sub. It would be a pain but 8" splits would probably work nicely if your using a 15".

Okay, thanks for the information Joe, i'll give ya a add on MSN for few more questions if you don't mind.
6" go straight in 6.5" need 2 redrill the holes or some mods as im trying 2 fit my 6.5" and they sure are not going straight in.. fit straight in but 2 secure them is a pain in the ass and why would you get jus real good front speakers then your gonna have all the noise coming from the front and nothing from the back that wud sound like crap cos it will be too loud in the front 2 be gud in the back thats jus my opinion but yer
reallly depends if you want a lot of sound coming from the rear, 6x9's with a sub really isnt a problem.
yer i guess depends on yur sound preference like when i got my last pair off speakers the guy at the shop was trying to tell me 2 amp the front speakers and leave the back but i prefer an even all round sound like surround sound when yu watching a movie sounds way better then jus speakers up the front yu kno
iv got 6.5 s in the rear and they were a bugger to get in right 6 inch are the go
