and i was wondering if i need a amp for the 2 6x9s or i could plug them into the plugs in the head unit?
thankyou
if you understand what im saying LOL
If you want to run 6 speakers then you will need to run at least 1 pair of them off an amp.
If you have 6"s in the front doors, then piss off the 4"s and problem solved. Remember that your stereo is only as good as the weakest components, so the 4"s will be letting you down anyway (I assume, with no detail on the equipment used at all).
If you aren't planning on getting a sub anytime soon then run the 6"s and 6x9s off a 4ch amp and it should keep you happy for a while.
In response to your question, no. You can't just plug speakers into the RCA plugs in the back of the headunit

Personally I would in your case, fit the 6" in the front, turf the 4" speakers, put the 6x9" in the parcel tray and power all four off a 4-channel amp.
