Default VY II Power Cable Issue

    Hey guys
Hopefully a quick and easy one, ive done a few searches, couldn't really pinpoint what i wanted to know.
Pretty much try to get the power cable through the fire wall on the drivers side of the car, REALLY having trouble getting it through the gromit. Is there an easy way to get it through? Or an easy way to make a hole without screwing up the other cables. Or should i just head for a new way through the fire wall, Photos or some descriptions of where or how it should be done would be great.
    Thanks Alot

^^^^ Also put some rubber friendly grease on the grommet and your cable, such as Handy lube, thats the stuff that is used for tap o rings etc. I normally drill a hole in the grommet, though it has to be a fairly large hole as the rubber sort of springs back where the hole is.

Guys i think he's talking about putting the power cable through a grommit where theres already a wiring loom going through. If this is the case raZel, and the car is an auto, you can use the clutch cable grommit which is located next to the brake booster (on the right hand side of it when looking from the front of the car).

Its an oval shaped grommit, just get a flat bladed screwdriver and prize it out, drill a hole in it and run you cable through, then insert the cable through the hole (may have to make a small hole in the carpet underlay etc) and then put the grommit back on.

If its manual youve got a harder job, someone did say a while back there was another spot.....if youre still stuck i'll do a search and find the post.

Yes that's what he said "driver's side grommet" There's only one there, the clutch cable grommet, if he can't drill it as I could, then a sharp pointed instrument, or screwdriver will suffice, but a bit of that grease on the cable helps a lot. I have run two or three cables/wires through this grommet.
