Is 80A ok or is 60A the most.

some brands of cable pack on lots of shielding around the cable to make it look thicker than it is, true cables must be thick in the middle with copper wire..
if its proper it should handle 160 amps.

80A is fine for a 5m run of 4AWG cable.

Where are you getting the 80A figure from, the fuse rating of the amp?
Anyway, why would you want 7-8m? where the hell are you mounting the amp?
I'd be more inclined to go with 2AWG for 7-8m, but 4AWG will still work OK.
