I spent $210 on a headunit from Autobarn, that retails at $299. but was on sale.
Its a 2009 model (which I've had no experience with) and the image on the BOX displays ''sub control'' (anyone familiar with Pioneer head units will know what this looks like) In the image supplied, it's the little icon to the left hand side of the LOUD icon:

(info on pioneer.com.au also doesnt say anything too much about sub input/control):
Car CD player with direct iPodŽ control - DEH-2100IB :: Pioneer Australia
In the instruction/info booklet, it says NOTHING about sub control.
but has 1 set of RCA pre-outs, and has a remote cable input...
Prior to this is my car before my VN, I had the DEH3000IB, which in my opinion is the best headunit I've ever used. But its now a discontinued model and is harder to come by than the 09 pioneer range, hence I got this one under recommendation that it is VERY similar to the 3000IB predecessor.
Does anyone have this headunit? Does it infact have a subcontrol setting on the headunit, mine currently isn't quite installed yet so I cant really fiddle around with it and see what it has to offer.
cheers guys
Have you found a "LPF" or "Low Pass Filter". Typically in that screen there are two settings, the "Frequency" and the "Level".

I'm looking at a DEH-2100IB box right now and it doesn't have "sub control" printed on it anywhere. The only reference to RCA's is "1 RCA preout".
LOL well that might explain it!

Yeah, the DEH-2100IB only has one set of RCA's and doesn't say anything about them being used for sub control and there is no audio setting that would do that.
The DEH-3100UB is the lowest model with sub control.
