Hello Today I was driving my car home and all of a sudden the speakers cut out completely for 3 seconds, then came back on and all was good. Well.. on the way out later, the speakers turned off completely and now there's nothing.
The head units on and everything
It's just the speakers.
I don't know much about the cars sound system, because someone put it in for me before I got given the car.
I'm thinking it might be a blown fuse, there are a few of them, some inside the bonnet, and I think one near the amp/subwoofer. What else could be wrong? If thats all it is I want to fix it myself before I take it to the shops..
Ta.
Well mate if it went off then back on it sounds like it might be a connection that has come loose.
Thats my little bit of input, the others will be on soon and they will more than likely have a couple more possible culprits.

Yep could be a connection or a short in the wiring....alot of possibilities....if your not confident with car stereos and/or wiring i'd be taking it to a professional to get it looked at.
If the stereo is still on and the speakers are cutting out along with the subwoofer then its not a fuse problem.

You need to explain what equipment you have running. If the speakers run from the head unit or an amp. If the sub stops.
