    Default Opinions wanted, Response gear

I was in Jaycar again today, and with the introduction of the new Vifa gear , they are selling the old left over Response gear pretty cheap

They are selling the Response 10'' subs for $120 each new. Has anyone used these subs?, if so, what did you think of them. The plan would be to run 2 of them, in my computer room. My only concern is that they are only rated at 250 rms each, and that might not be enough to suit my needs..

Do you have 500Wrms home amp? I've found its better to buy low powered stuff for home as it's more efficient. I had 3 crappy 150W 10" in my computter room and they're more than enough. I think 2 12" would be heaps.

I'm using Behringer amps. I havent purchased the one i would use to run the subs yet, i've only purchased the 2 channel amp for my main speakers, but they have plenty to choose from, that sort of power per channel is no drama. I was originally looking at some Vibe 10's, the black airs, but at $120 each, i'm considering giving these a go...

I just don't know anything at all about them.I dont want to buy them, spend a whole lot of time designing the enclodures, and find their complete garbage..

I havent used these models, but used the older carbon fibre ones with plenty of success.....they handled 2000wrms each for about 6 months, then died a spectacular death

Anyway, i think for that sort of money you cant really go wrong.

Is this just your local jaycar or aus wide? I could think of a few uses for semi-decent 10" subs

Philthy, that was my local one, but after checking on the internet, it seems they should be around that price at any Jaycar store, that still has them in stock, after bringing in the Vifa range..http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...e&form=KEYWORD only states the price of the 12'', but yeah the 10''s were $120 , their old price was $220something..probably just ring around a few stores and see which one's have them in stock.
I'm gonna have a bit of a think about it, i'm seriously considering buying some of them, but that old rule keeps popping into my head, you get what you pay for..PLus i can't seem to find any feedback on them, from some one who's used them, to help sway me either way..
