    Default 4 speakers and a sub running off 1 4 ch amp??

    hi guys id like to add a sub to my car i currently have a 4 channel amp running 2 6x9s and 2 6 inch splits. would it be possible to add a sub to this amp while keeping the speakers running also? if so how?

    Short answer, no.

    If you dont want to add another amplifier i would be removing the 6x9s from the amp and powering them off the head-unit. Then use the two available channels in bridged mode to power a sub.

    4 speakers + sub = 5. You have a 4 channel amp. It just doesn't add up (and that's neglecting the bridging of 2 channels to do it properly).

    He's already been told nicely that it cant be done, theres no need to continue telling him it isnt possible, is there?
