vn removing old head unit
ok so i started taking out my old head unit poped plastic off around gear lever hand brake n the 1 around the headunit and pulled out the heater control but it only came out couple of inches then im stuck.
1. does the heater controls hav to b fully removed not just poped out a few inches
2, how do u access the screws on either side of the headunit

Why would you bump your post after 1/2 hour at 10:30PM on a saturday?
Anyway, you have to remove the heater control unit completely, this mean disconeting the control rod, and the vacuem lines. You also have to remove the whole centre plastic section, not just the fascia as i'm assuming you've done. The screws will be located under the fuse panel, and also you'll have to flip down the glove box, should be 3 there aswell. Once you've removed that section, you'll se the how the mounting bracket is held into place..

how do i get the heater control off ive been pulling as hard as i can i got the top connection off trying to get it off for hours
if you look around the foot rest you will see a white lever with a metal rod attached to it, if you move the heater control box while you are looking you should see it. you need to flick the white tab up so the metal rod will come free. hope that makes sense
