Does it matter what shape the sub enclosure is? I'm just wondering because i'm thinking about putting 2 slim line 12'' CVT Kickers one either side in the back of my wagon. I'll be building 2 custom boxes to fit over the wheel arches so they're out of the way if i ever need to change a tyre or what not. I'm also thinking of fitting a set of 6.5'' Splits on top of the box closest to the back seat(seperate air of course).
Anyways, back to the question.. Does it matter the shape of the enclosure or is it just the size that matters?

As long as they are not square the shape isn't too important. Get the volume right, make sure there is at least a little bit of space behind the drivers, and you should be right. Apparently round boxes sound best?
And yes, definately have the splits in a seperate enclosure or the won't last a day
