2002 VX Eurovox CD Stacker

I have a 2002 VX Calais that has a Eurovox Maestro Series, 10 stacker CD player in it. Recently the CD player function in the head unit stopped working. It is almost as if the head unit does not know that it has a CD function. There are no error messages it simply will not acknowledge that it has a CD function. I have tried to remove the CD magazine from the changer in the boot but it will not eject. It is as if there is no power getting to the changer.

We have tried unplugging the cable to the CD changer in the boot and repluging, and holding the on/off button in for 6 seconds to reset the system but neither of these appear to have done anything to fix the situation.

The radio function is still working.

Is there a fuse or something in the system that we can check?

Is there an “emergency” eject function so I can recover the 10 discs held in the magazine?

Any advice you can offer to either recover the CD’s or get the CD player function working would be very much appreciated.

u might have to take the deck out and check the plug in the back off head unit give that a try
