I've seen people just fibreglass it before to make it fit snug
Hi guys.....
I have a JVC KW-AVX710 head unit....but the unit doesn't fill the whole space the Eurovox left behind.
How can I fill the leftover space? Please advise.....perhaps the people who have this unit can throw up some pictures and show me what I can do....
cheers and thanks in advance....![]()

What i usually do with a double DIN in a VT/TX is place a piece of 16mm MDF underneath the unit, this MDF has a piece of black ABS plastic hot-glued to the front. So basically the MDF slots in under the unit and the black plastic at the front covering the gap. I drew a small (and crude) pic in paint if it helps![]()

You need a double din trim surround. Its dissapointing that manafacturers dont supply them, go into a car audio store and get one for around 15 dollars. They may even give you one.
does anyone know where to get a trim surround from and if they do make them for vt/vx? i can only find ones to suit vy/vz
i went to the very helpful people at Tonkins in Adelaide and they gave me a trim surround facia to use. It wasn't quite trimmed to suit the JVC head unit I bought but 2 mins and a Dremel later....made it fit. Looks great now....will post up a pic soon..
Cheers for your input guys!
have you got a pic of this yet?
