Got three connections for my tweeter on the crossover.
0db
-3db
-6db
anybody know what is best for a vy ute?
FYI they are soundstream xsc.6 6.5inch components
Cheers
Put them in on 0db, if they are too loud then try -3, then if they are still too loud try -6. I can't tell you what sounds best to your ears

Use 0dB and if the tweeters are too loud, try the -3dB, etc.
Location, model, amount of power, music types, people's hearing will all affect how it should be set so anyone who tells you a specific setting has no idea. You need to try it yourself.
Oh come on! Beaten by 1 minute![]()
Start them off on 0db, have a good listen (2 or 3 three different songs) then change it to -3db. Have another good listen, if its better the second time then try it again on -6db, if its better on 0db then leave it there
LOL @ 3 replies in 2 minutes.
150db in a commodore =
First try 0dB then.............crap beaten by 7 hours. So close.

my experience is if the tweeters are close to each other then the less you need to attenuate them, if they are far away like a vy then set it at -3 or -6 but stonex is right you need to listen yourself and make your own decision.
I have 2 new sets of tweeters in the VZ
the 1's I put in the factory position are set at 0dB they are non-directional below the dash
the 1's I put in the door sills are set at -6dB and set facing at opposite headrests
Both sets are amped seperate to the woofers
sounds sweet & hot for me![]()
