Need Help With Screen

Hey all,
i have a sony head unit, that can not play dvd's, however it has a pair of RCA In connectors at the back, as well as 6 x rca outs, the outs are connected to my amps.
I have a crappy lcd screen that i want to hook up to the headunit, is there any way to do this?
I have one male/one female connector coming out of the screen..

So you have a RCA video out?

If so, yep...run a RCA cable from the video out to the video in.

On the back of the head unit it just says RCA In .. then 6xrca out that i assume were for amplifiers?

only problem is on the back of the screen it has 1xmale and 1xfemale connectors :S

Thanks heaps mate, i only got it today.. i traded the h/u for a stockie and the screen was $10 haha so i thought i'd give it a shot.
H/U is Sony CDX-Gt460S
Screen is 7" TFT Dodgy POS haha

Alrighty, you cant connect it to a screen because it dosent have video. What would the screen display?

I only just realised its not a DVD player.....i thought it was

Wasnt exactly sure, i was hoping aux videos from my ipod haha i just couldnt pass up a $10 screen...
so i guess my options are to get a dvd playing h/u
or put another dvd playing h/u in the glovebox? - and just hook that up to the screen

Yep you could do that.....just run the RCA audio outputs to the audio inputs on your SONY head-unit, then when playing a DVD etc switch the head-unit to "AUX".

Theres another way to do it by using your Ipod though. Get one of these:
Composite RCA AV Cable for ipod iPhone 3G Touch Video - eBay, Cables, Television Accessories, Electronics. (end time 20-Jan-10 12:37:41 AEDST)

The yellow plug goes to your screen, the red and white plugs go to your RCA inputs on the head-unit, play video on the Ipod and hit "AUX" on the head-unit.....you'll get the sound through your speakers and the video through the screen

Oh wow.. now i dont know what to do.

with the first option of having another h/u, by running the rca cable from the rca out on dvd player to rca in on my h/u would i get sound through all speakers?

Yep, both work the same way......audio output from the video source (be it a DVD or Ipod) goes to the head-units RCA inputs.

BTW, do you have the instruction manual for that head-unit......if not and you want it, i can email it to you
