The originals in a VP in the rear parcel shelf were 6" so these should fit without to much hassle. Depends if u wanna put 6 x 9" in the rear at a later date. I have 6" Xplods in the back of my Calais and there gr8!

Does your car have the factory 6inch in the front i don’t remember if they do.
But if they do then you are better of putting them in the front unless you get splits for the front.
The front because it will give you better sound then the rear.
And forget about the 4inch on the front unless you have a good crossover for this 4 inch speaker
it will limit your system when turning the volume up

The specifications of a speaker dosent determine where they should be mounted.

In your case (VN - 4" fronts) the rear is a better option, as its much easier to install them!

I think you should put them in the back because you might have to cut up the door panel to fit a 6" but its totally up to you

Get VR/VS door pods and fit them in the front. You don't want 4" speakers in the front, they sound terrible.

If your willing to spend some decent money, there are some decent 4 inch speakers on the market. The dash represents a better mounting point as far as your sound stage projection is concerned IMO anyway..However for the money you spend, a 6-6.5 inch speaker, is usually going to out perform a 4 inch speaker.

What colour is your VP's trim inside? The main issue i have with using the later model door pockets, is that they don't match up.But if your not fussy, the you shouldn't need worry.

But, regardless of whether you put them in the front or back, it's hardly going to make much of a difference anyway. Those speakers you have pictured, are probably of the same build quality as the rear speakers that were factory fitted in the rear location anyway...
