hey guys,
i have recently installed 2 cadence amps a cadence sub 2 pioneer 6x9's, 2 mbquart 6.5 splits and a 3 rca out pioneer head unit
i installed all of this for the 1st ever in my vn commodore took about 9 days 1 hour everyday.
i am about to flip it thought i cant deal with it anymore.
i had everything work, not tuned though.
today i just relized the left 6x9 is out, just seems as if it has blown or something. i rechecked the conection from the speaker to the amp all looked good connecting ect just insnt working.
and with the whole tuning think i just cant get the darn thing sounding right its alll high pitched n if i turn it up it sounds like its going to blow up. i have played with all the little nobs at the back and thing just arnt going my way!.
what do i do
?
DID YOU CHECK THE RCA FROM THE HEAD UNIT TO THE AMP FOR THE 6X9s
IF THIS IS LOOSE OR NOT CONNECTED THE 6X9 WONT WORK.
ARE BOTH THE 6X9 NOT WORKING?
nar just 1 of the 6x9's
how would that become loose bak there though?
Well then check the rca if it is loose on the amp or on the back of the head unit
also grab a spare speaker if you have one and connect the speaker on that channel that the 6x9 is not working on and see whats going on
Theres not much room behind the head-unit for RCAs etc in the VN-VS commodores, it can easily become detached when putting the head-unit back into the dash.
One way to check if its the RCA or not is to pull the RCA from the working 6x9s and plug it into the not-working 6x9s RCA if you get what i mean.....also do this unplugging / plugging while the head-unit is off.
As far as tuning goes, it could be a number of things......high pass filters set up properly at the amp and / or at the head-unit, bass settings on the head-unit......plenty of possibilities![]()
150db in a commodore =
This happens by pulling or not pluged on properly.
It could also be a faulty rca. I have had that problem many times at work.
