Red face Home Theater In My Car

Prob a stupid question (now why does everyone start it off this way?)

I have a pretty kick ass Home Theater setup and wondering would it be worth (cos I am pov and cant afford a car audio setup atm) putting my home theater system in my car using an Inverter (They cost like $100, DC - AC?). Your views?

Problem is "where do the speakers go?" But I dont have any real use for back seats in a commodore (as I dont think I will be carrying passengers much) hmm.. Perhaps chuck em all in the boot and when i want to hear the power, put down the back seats? :my:

Yeah, your right....it was a stupid question, but I've seen worse.

The 100 AC/DC INverter will not be sufficient to power the stereo, to be honest it probably wouldn't survive power up.

Putting all the speakers in the boot will ensure that you only hear the bass if you did spend the several hundred dollars on a decent inverter.

In short, the inverter required would set you back around 500-600. That much would buy a reasonable headunit and two pairs of speakers.

    Yea thanks... lol...

Hmm on back of amp says 90watts and its 8ohm system. 100watt inverter should power it? oh well... guess not..

a 100watt inverter would STRUGGLE to run it, but it wouldn't survive start up which is in excess of 400-500 watts. Also you would need a pure sine wave inverter which oputs the price up again..... Forget about it and buy a cheap cd player.
