    Default help with wiring 6x9's

    hi all.
i am installing 6x9's on the parcel shelf in my vy executive with stock h/u.
i am happy with putting the wires under the trim and getting the speakers in their position.
i am just confused about where do i conect the wires to at the head unit (there are so many little holes in the wiring behind the h/u).
    any help will be great.
    thanks

Well if youve ran new speaker wiring from the speakers to the head-unit you can just cut the correct wires (leave enough room so you can join them back up at a later date) at the plug behind the stereo, the wiring colours to look for are:

    Rear left speaker:
    (+) - Brown/Black Stripe
    (-) - Yellow/Blue Stripe

    Rear right speaker:
    (+) - Blue/Orange Stripe
    (-) - Blue/Black Stripe

Usually i just run the new wires to the sill panel covers near the "B" pillar, and cut / join the wires to the existing wires before they head into the rear doors.

It is faster to run wires to the head unit than remove the sill panels on either side to connect into the rear doors.

I disagree, when I did mine, I tapped into them under the sill panels, too.

Yep i disagree too Luke, i dont totally remove the sill panels.....just undo the torx screw at the B pillar and the screws. This enables enough room for you to be able to access the loom and cut / solder new wiring from there.

Wouldnt you have to remove the sill panel covers anyway to run new wiring to the head-unit?
I do anyway, run the new wiring along with stock loom.
