    Default VY Steering Audio Controls

    Hey guys,

Errr the middle volume increase button, on my steering wheel broke or something today? its no longer securely connected and in place like the rest, its still attached and inside the button area, but i cannot for the life of me seem to fit it securely into place at all... haven't noticed any pieces of it that have broken or missing... ?

anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?

    much appreciated, cheers.

Not how to fix it but my mode button has been like that for years, still works though.

Try taking the airbag off the steering wheel and take a look at the clips inside, one of them may have snapped.. you might just need to glue it back on.

Just remember to disconnect the battery first!

    Bad news dude,

Basically it's snapped off. There are no clips holding these in place. The only way to fix this is to buy another set of buttons. You can probably try to glue it back but all I can say is good luck as the button is held on by well... plastic. You may get lucky and find some cheapies second hand, otherwise it's $120 from Holden.

$120 that is absolutely ridiculous! For some mass produced bits of plastic. But then they wanted $20 just to give me my radio code.

There is some little man in China getting paid a bowl of rice a day to make those buttons! Same goes for all those bogans hanging Chinese made Aussie flags from their cars on Australia Day. Act all patriotic yet can't even buy an Aussie made flag!

Back on topic. mine did the same thing so I ripped it out. I never have the radio on anyway so doesn't bother me.
