    Default exhaust note through sub?

    on idle i can hear my exhaust note throught the sub i just put in is this normal? it goes away when i turn the volume up.

    Sounds like engine interference to me, what components (head-unit, amplifier and sub) are you using and where did you ground the amp to?

    i have a pioneer H/U, stock front speakers, kenwood 350w rears and an audioline 12" sub amp combo.. its earthed to the bootlid maybe theres the problem? haha the sound is annoying its a 2.5" no cats one resonator setup sounds muffled thru the sub

    You could try a different earthing point, but i'm pretty sure that interference has nothing to do with an earth.Have you tried seperating your power, and RCA leads if you haven't already (running them down oppisite sides)

    Yep try a different earthing spot, sand the area back to bare metal too.

    If that dosent work, it could be the head-units' RCA outputs. The fix for it can be explained later if thats the case.

    Also, im just wondering as most interference is up above the frequencies a sub plays (i.e. above 100hz). Do you have the low pass filter, "LPF", turned on?
