Good Afternoon everyone,
Been fixing up my sound system the past couple days and at the moment I'm running a 15inch pioneer subwoofer.
What i want to know is, how do i wire so only bass and treble come out of it. Because at the moment its pretty much working as a normal speaker.
Thanks
On the amp you should have the noise filters, Set it to low pass and if you have a knob that allows you to adjust the frequency then change it to around 200 hz.

Change it to 80Hz, not 200Hz.
In an average system a 15" should be set to somewhere between 50-80Hz, a 12" should be set to somewhere between 80-100Hz and a 10" about the same as a 12".
Bass becomes directional, meaning you can hear where it's coming from, above 100Hz or so. You don't want that as it makes your car sound crap. You want the bass to blend with the speakers and then it appears that your subbass is coming from your front speakers.
Stone X's reply is on the money, but i'm wondering what type of amp you are using, and how you've currently wired it up?I think you should find out and post back before go flicking switches on your amp/s to low pass...
lol, I need to go check my lpf then![]()
