    you cant just wire up the steering wheel remote buttons from a VT/VX to a aftermarket stereo. VT/VX controls use a single wire that works by resistance. You will need an adapter that interprets the different resistance values, and converts it to an IR signal that your stereo can understand.

    im pritty sure the wires from vt - vx are the same i used to work at strathfield ill see if i can remember them

    Orange = +12v
    Yellow = Accessorys
    Yellow/Red = Electric Antenna
    Green+Light Green = Front Right
    Tan+Grey = Front Left
    Blue/Orange+Blue/Black = Rear Right
    Brown/Black+Yellow/blue = Rear Left
    Black/White = Ground

    Brown/White is Illumination is used if the display is too bright for you wire it up to ur aftermarket unit and when you turn lights on it dims the display, Only if your head unit has Illumination Input

    The left over wires would be a phone kit mute and steering controls i think yellow/black is mute and the rest is wheel control i cant remember 100%

    half of that is not right don't know where you found that from haha, ant up and ant down is not right its just one wire witch is the yellow/red, there's no dimmer in and out its only a out which is the brown/white, i think its either the white or blue for steering.

    What sort of steering wheel control module do you have? because u cant run straight from factory wire to aftermarket unit and usually the module has instructions for your car because you need to program it up
