How do you get your Electric Antena to work with a Pioneer Head Unit, they dont have an Antena wire??? Looking at some of the wiring guides they say to wire in the white wire from your original loom onto the Accesories, but no go. Are the white wire the up and blue down???
Use the yellow wire with red stripe. That is the antenna control wire. You should have a blue with white stripe wire in the Pioneer loom? use that.
150db in a commodore =
That's right.
Pioneer's blue/white wire is used for antenna and amplifiers, so it is always on. That means your antenna is always up. You can put a switch inline with the wire to manually put the antenna when you listen to CDs.
If you still want the Berlina antenna height controls to work, you need a 3 way momentary switch that springs back to middle when not pressing it. Then you'd look at the wire colour codes and connect the appropriate wires up and mount the switch![]()
Thanks guys yeah tried it on the Remote wire also but now know its the yellow wire with red stripes. other wiring guides on here say up wire is white, down blue, this is were I was going wrong.
very interesting, looks like im gna have the same problem when i replace my headunit
I like being able to keep my antenna as low as possible when listening to the radio lol
Never Late with a 3.8
Yeah its a ploblem with most head units these days, that they dont have an antena wire, you have to hook it into the remote wire wich only give you up or down. To get the control you need to put a switch in the yellow wire with red stripe. Havent tried it yet a job for this weekend.
The Pioneer navigation head units do have a separate antenna wire. So far the normal head units still have just the single amp/remote/system wire.
I should have said most Pioneer
