vt commodore radio

my wife has a 2000 vt commodore the radios clock is working but the cd and radio doesnt work can anyone please give me a direction to go do i take it too a autoelectrician,holden or a radio installer or could i fix it myself ? thankyou

Sounds to me like it has constant power but dosent have accessories power.

Tried the fuse? Check the one under the steering wheel.

Have you pressed the ON button?
Im not sure if the clock works when the stereo is coded-out? Maybe someone else can shed light on that

If it does than you will need to get the security code form holden. When we bought our VX it already had a card in the glovebox listing the security code, etc.

That may be your best bet.

i pulled both fuses for the radio and re-entered the radio pin and it is back too normal again hmmm is it possible when kmart serviced it last week they put in a wrong pin that had a limited time limit?

If they disconnected the battery they might not of even bothered.
