Hey guys, i just bought a Fusion Powerplant 15' sub and my plan is to build a shallow but long and wide box that goes in the middle of the boot floor and put the sub in upside down and put a false floor over it with the magnet protruding the floor. Would this work or sound shit due to having a shallow box?
Also on the fusion website it said the sub needed a 70 litre box, would this be ported or sealed?
Cheers
It wont sound like crap, provided its the proper size and sealed properly so theres no leaks.
Also make it as deep as possible, i wouldnt go with less than 20cm depth, 30-35cm is ideal if you can.
70lt is nearly 2.5 (2.47) cu.ft. Rather large for a sealed box but abit too small for a ported box for a 15. So i'd say its sealed, probably includes woofer displacement too. So i'd make it around that mark, maybe a bit smaller (1.8-2.0 cu.ft.) considering the box design isnt going to be easy to get a large volume.

For a sealed enclosure 15", it's 45.5 Litres (1.6 cu.ft).
And for a ported enclosure, it's 60 Litres (2.2 cu.ft).
Port diameter 101 mm/4".
Port length 350 mm/ 13.75"
