hey guys, sorry, a bit new to the whole car audio thing ...bought a new head unit for my vy commodore aclaim. just needing some help wiring up a sub. ive been told i need to buy an amp, which one would be ideal? and also how does all the wiring for the sub work, the headunit has a sub wire...cheers
yes you need an amp, the amp will depend on a number of things, most importantly is what sub it will be running.
no offence but with your lack knowledge can I suggest you just take the car to a specialist store have a chat and get them to install it all for you once you have purchased what you need
Ok first give us the model of the Subwoofer, then we can choose an amp, then you can take it to an installer to put in. Nothing says you can't do it yourself, but if you get it wrong you risk A) your battery exploding, B) Frying all the electronics in your car.
