Hi,
I recently went out and bought a system for $900 consisting of,
- 6.5inch fusion reactor splits
- 6.9 fusion reactors
- 4 channel fusion reactor amp
- mono fusion reactor amp
- the latest pioneer headunit 3rca outs (cant tell you the model off top of the head)
i alrerady have two 12inch fusion reactor subs...
everything you see here was 70% exept subs...
will this sound gud in my 2004 vz sv6?
or should i get my money back???
and were would a gud place reasonbly priced to get them all fitted?? around sydney west i was quated $350 for only speakers and amps no headunit??? i also hav the wiring needed??
Personally i'd get rid of the 6x9s, the extra bass response they provide isnt really needed with 2 x 12" subwoofers. But if youre after maximum volume then you could run them on a high pass filter to eliminate the low frequencies the subs play, which would allow them to go louder.
As far as the system goes for $900, its not too bad at all....depending on model of head-unit i came to around $760 before adding it.
$350 is a little on the expensive side for 4 x speakers and 2 x amps (without wiring). But what place was that? Its like anything, you get what you pay for. I would expect to charge $350 to install the entire system (head-unit, splits, 6x9s and 2 x amps - you supply wiring). So yeah, anything from $350-$450 to install it all.
Places like Doran Pro Audio in Bankstown and FHRX in Caringbah do great work. I would suggest those guys to anyone after seeing some of their work.

I would highly recomend FHRX,just bear in mind that you will pay a bit for the install but the work i top qualitly
Id suggest you give Marty a ring
Stock rear speakers faded to the front on High Pass would have been my suggestion, unless your concerned about your rear passengers. That would have left more of your budget for your front speakers/amp, which aside from the subs, is where your going to notice the most difference. My 2 cents.
I agree with the above mate,
You'll get much better sound quality with just some 6inch coaxils or nothing at all for rear fill,
If you carry alot of passengers then add in some coaxils, 6x9's will sound a bit 'cloudy' if you get what i mean.
Cheers.

I got my system from extrme car audio in blacktown....
So wat you guyz are sayn I should take my 6.9 3ways back and just get a simple 2 or 3way 6.5inch in the rear doors instead???
I found a place in penrith wich said they would install the lot for $390....
And that includes deadening behind each speaker to provent them from rattling...
How much would a pair of high pass filters cost me for my 6.9z???
My 4channel amp has a high pass filter inbuilt with it will I still need them???
If youre after pure volume over sound quality, then keep the 6x9s. Yes the HPF in the amp is fine to use for them. If youre after more sound quality, take them back and get 6.5" co-axials. They wont play as the 6x9s though.
Also, deadening behind each speaker dosent prevent speakers from rattling.

I want my system 2 be loud but I don't want to lose that quality clear sound in the prosess...
wat would your solution to the problem be holdenboy???
Keep or get rid of 6.9z???
With the deadening behind the speakers will there be a diffrence in sound quality???
Personally, i would be taking them back for 6.5s and mounting them in the rear doors. Power them off the head-unit and bridging that 4ch for the splits![]()
This would give you a decent amount of sound quality and staging (the music comes from in front of you, not behind). Plus it'll go plenty loud, just set the HPF for the splits on about 100hz.
The might be a small improvement in deadening behind the speakers, hard to say IMO.

I hav taken back my 6.9z and didn't bother getin the 6.5inch I now hav decided to bridge my 4 channel for my splits and power my rear stocks off the headunit and fade them 2 the front...
And instead of just dedening behind the doors I am also goin 2 deaden my boot....
I am getin all the wireing and instalation of speakers and unit for $250 (hopeing to bring him down to $200)
Thanx for the advice holdenboy I will let ya no how it turns out....
