A budget would be a good start.
Will the speakers be powered off an amp, otherwise something with a lower power handling, and higher effeceincy would be something to look at.
If your not too concerned about the DVD player, but must have one, i suggest buying a single din DVD/CD ect, then buying a cheap slave screen, and doing a seperate DIN setup.

I'd be going with something like a Kenwood KVT-534DVD, which can be picked up for around the $950 mark. This is probably one of the cheapest "all in one" single DIN DVD / 7" touchscreen units available atm. There are cheaper options, but im sure whether you'd be interested in something from Jaycar? They have a similar unit with USB and bluetooth etc for $499 RRP:

For front and rear speakers, i think its almost a must to go with splits in the front, they are fairly cheap these days and the improvement in clarity when compared to co-axials is definitely worth the extra $40-$50. For rears i set of co-axials or even leave them stock to save some money is my suggestion.

a pair of 12" Kicker comp subs in kicker ported box with kicker amp and full kicker wiring kit, subs are 300 watts each and amp is 300 watts. amp is a zx300.1

can get the above for $500 (is that a decent price?)

then yeah if anyone can maybe sugest some kicker speakers? or something? ebay links would be good...

For $500 i'd give it a miss. The amp is underpowered to be running both those subs, let alone run them cleanly and efficiently.I'd hold onto the money, and keep looking around on the used markets, and when something worthwile does pop up, you'll have a bit more cash to spend.

How much were you planning on spending on front speakers?

not too sure mate, 100-200 for rears, i guess similar for front, if i can get away with just speakers worked out for now, say for under or around $300,

then i can use a audio (something jbhifi brand) 4chanel 1000 watt amp, and a kenwood 12" 1000 watt sub, i have that im currently not using

then finaly search for a deck or dvd player

Not sure if your interested, i have a set of front 6.5 inch splits for sale in the classifieds, they've been there for a while with not much interest. Great set of splits (Bargain!)

The mid woofers are out of a $435 set, and would make a pretty good replacement of the stock speakers in a VS.

    Other than that,

    Digital Design's DDC 6.5's, DDC6.5 Components - DDAudio.com | Digital Designs : Speakers Made in the USA
SPL Dynamics Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - SPL Dynamics SD-6.2
There's a plenty of others out there, but they would be my pick of them if you weren't wanting to spend more than $200 on a front set.

For rears, i'd be reccomending that you leave the stock speakers in place, and simply run them of the head unit on a high pass.Otherwise there's not much point in really spending anything more than $100 on a set of rear fill coaxials.

As for your 4 channel amp, if it was me, i'd be bridging the channels to run the front speakers, and leaving the head unit to power the rears, and adjust your fader to the front to suit.Or othwerise buying a more suitable 2 channel amp with the money you would save should you not buy replacement rear speakers.
