Ive recently found a Response Precision 1000wrms at 1 ohm, mono amp.
Im not a big fan of response, theres no prticular reason why though ive just always stayed away.
Im after an amp to run my new sub, a Mach 5 IXL 12 : Mach 5 Audio IXL 12 subwoofer Subwoofer - Mach 5 Audio IXL-12 [IXL-12.2.2] - $249.00 : Subwoofers Car/Home Theatre, Affordable Drivers Mach 5 Audio
are the amps an good?
will it be ok for that sub? or should i look for something with head room? say 1200 or 1300wrms at 1 ohm?
what about this? a little expensive to me but yeah : Fusion powerplant amplifier 2000watts as new boxed - eBay Amplifiers, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 04-Apr-10 20:59:52 AEST)
hifonics amps, whats everyones opinions on them? as i bidded on one the other day and just missed out: HIFONICS BRUTUS BXI16080 1600 WATT SUPER D CLASS MONO - eBay Amplifiers, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 28-Mar-10 17:31:27 AEDST)
looking to spend 250 max, maye 300. i need a 1 ohm mono block putting out at least 1000wrms, suggestions?
To bad you missed out on the Hifonics Brutus, I've heard they are an awesome amp. Also like how the seller of the Fusion amp believes they are worth $990, Ryda sell the 3000w (1500rms) version for $370. LOL.
This is the Clarion and the Response amps on eBay that have the power you want. 1000wrms at 1-ohm for $300 is a big ask. I paid $800 for 1400wrms in 2-amps.
Maybe just save a bit more and buy one of these, http://www.ryda.com.au/Fusion-Powerp...ppam300010.htm , you aren't going to get much cheaper.

The Response amps are OK. I have a bias against Fusion, so I'd actually use the Response over a Fusion amp.
I'm in agreeance with StoneX on this one. Not a major fan of Response, I didn't mind their earlier gear, a little dissapointed with the newer stuff but never a fan really. Fusion I tend to steer clear of in a big way. My customers find it interesting the nervous twitch I develop when they mention the name....
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
there is a new response line comin out in a month or so ive heard, they changed the chassis looks flashier, not by much tho, ribbed heatsinks.
Not sure if they the same guts tho, there is a new 500w mono comin out too.
Thanks for that, i was pretty sure id seen the fusion for 300 and something. I know my budget is low, i can try to stretch it if need be, but i was hoping something seocnd hand like that hifonics would pop up. Which is should i might just have to wiat a bit.
So the 1000wrms at 1 ohm response i saw should be fine to use? mybe until i can upgrade to something else?
