    Default aerial causes poping noise

can anyone please provide ideas as to what could be causing the following issue:

after installing an amp into my wagon under the passenger seat, everything works great apart from when the aerial goes up or down.
when it starts to move and finishes there is an audible pop (kind of like cracking glass or a stone hitting glass) sound coming from only the left hand side tweeter. ???

    any help is appreciated

Are you sure its coming from the tweeter and not the aerial? Just sounds strange that its coming from the speaker (tweeter) thats closest to the aerial. Disconnect the tweeter only and see if the noise is still there.

yeah it definitly is, when you turn the car off the amp goes off, aerial comes down and no noise is made. but if you change from radio to cd (therefore lowering the aerial) it makes the noise.

Hmm, did you use the stock tweeter wiring for the (i assume) aftermarket tweeter? The only thing it can think of is that the antenna wiring is somehow interfering with the tweeter wiring. Also, where is the crossover mounted?

all new wiring from amp to crossover (mounted against the firewall with doublesided tape) and from crossover to tweeters. wires to the amp run from the loom on the side back to the amp (speaker level inputs), for now until the budget allows otherwise
