    Default Amp Advice please.

I am installing a new system in my car next week and have a question or two.
Car is a VY SS Wagon.

The head deck will be a JVC KW-AVX726

Front Speakers will be - SPS-600C
    Type-S 6-1/2" Component 2-Way Speaker

Rear Speakers will be - SPS-600
    Type-S 6-1/2" Coaxial 2-Way Speaker

    I also wish to install a sub very soon a - SWR-1222D
    Type-R 12" Subwoofer

The Sub comes in an Apline made enclosure.

    Here is the question...

Will this Amp work fine - Alpine PDX-5
5 Channel Power Density Digital Amplifier

Can it power the whole system, bear in mind im not after blowing the windows out just a nice overall setup.

I could buy a seperate Amp just for the sub but dont want to be mounting to much extra than i need too, sure i could buy a Monoblock amp but in reality do i rely need too?

Is the a way that i can also remote control the bass output to the sub, such as a dial or something or is it only capable thru using the EQ in the deck ? So i can adjust bass on the fly depending on the music i am listening too or should i just use the presets in the deck?

    Thanks.

That amp will have no trouble powering the entire system. It produces 4 x 75wrms for the speakers (ideal) and 300wrms for the subwoofer (also ideal). Its not a huge amount of power on tap, but as you say your not after massive sound.

That subwoofer is 2 ohm dual voice coil. So it means that if you wire the coils in series it'll be a 4 ohm load and ideal for the PDX 5.

Im not sure about the bass control on the head-unit, all the specs ive found say nothing about subwoofer control (which means frequency and level adjustment). But, looking at the JVC website, it dosent list the KW-AVX726, only the KW-AVX736. So i assume thats the older model youre referring to. Anyway the 736 states on the site it has subwoofer control.
