    Default Only in the US?

I was playing around on Youtube earlier, and i came across this video. I've never seen an SPL comp where the operator sit's in the vehicle during the test. Has anyone else seen this before? Are you allowed to be in the vehicle, or is this in other countries?

last spl comp i went to(proper dbdrag event), every operator was inside the car. i think theres a certain level where you have to get out, but not sure.

edit: rules from termpro dbdrag site

The contestant must be outside of the vehicle while the vehicle is being metered and all doors, windows, and other openings to the vehicle must remain closed during this time.

Exception - Competitors may remain inside of the vehicle during metering provided:

    * They wear adequate hearing protection at all times. Removal of the hearing protection while inside of the vehicle will result in immediate disqualification.
    * The competitor's maximum SPL never exceeds 140 dB. A measured SPL in excess of 140 dB will be recorded as 140 dB.
    * The competitor must sign a dB Drag Racing entry form that includes a waiver stating that the competitor understands that "exposure to high sound pressure levels may result in temporary or permanent hearing loss".

Yeah they were the rules as i knew it. Obviously is the vehicle is aiming for more than 140db, then the owner/operator would be outside the vehicle.

But this guy pulled 156db, (according to the event commentator) whilst being in the vehicle, which is i'm wondering if they have a different set of rules over in the US..

dbdrags have same rules everywhere, but depends who is hosting that event, that or he'd never hit over 140db til that day.
