    Default Head unit recommendations?

    Hey guys,

Looking for a new headunit to use with a carpc setup.

Will be running a PC into the headunit (sound only), and want it to have rear aux, dont need front.

Any recommendations for a headunit (cheapish?), with aux in, in the rear, not the front???

Why don't you just look at the main brands websites and start from the lowest model until you find rear aux in as a feature? That's all I'd be doing to answer your question...

How exactly do you plan on controlling the PC. It seems pointless routing the sound into a head deck to then route it back out, why not send it str8 to the AMP / Speakers.

Why not install a slim slot load drive in your dash/glove box/centre console, and config the PC to auto play whatever is inserted.

I looked at doing a carPC a while back and that looked to be the best way. You'll save money on buying an extra head deck, have more room for your screen, not limited by the sound quality of the head deck and you don't lose the functionality for having a CD/DVD drive.

I have a external slim dvd drive, but dont have any amps yet, so will just run it from a HU for the meantime
