Cross over in question: Unknown model, but it comes with Soundstream TRC.6N components.
Has anyone seen this happen before? -
I have been installing stereos for quite a few years and never seen this happen.
I am powering the TRC.6N components from a SOUNDSTREAM TRX2.640, it puts out 2 x 210 at 4ohms. Have the gain sitting at about half.
What could of caused it?
It seems like the 16uF cap has just spilled its guts hardcore.
Looks like a simple repair so i will do that next week, just don't want it to happen again.

Drive it
Like ya stole it!
Nasty!! The capacitor could have recieved a surge, or even have over heated. Simple fix, but maybe look at replacing all the capacitors rather than just the blown one.
