Well my sub just seized up and i was wodnering if that means get a new one or is it fixable?
It is a cheapo sub so im not gunna go to great efforts to fix it if it is possible.
And i was wondering if it isnt possible to fix. Is it possible for me to run a set of 6x9 off my pioneer mono block. GM-D7400M but i want them to play music not just bass like a sub would.
Firstly, it is possible to fix a blown subwoofer but as its only a cheap then the manufacturer probably dosent make the required parts, also it wont be worth the cost (cheaper to buy a new sub).
Secondly, you wont be able to power any speakers off the monoblock (including 6x9s) in full range / music applications. They're not designed for that as the response bandwidth is 10-240hz.

Ok thanks, Cleared it all up there
New sub here i come!
Can u suggest a worthy sub to buy for the mono block i have?
Depending on what size the old sub was (use your current box) and how much you want to spend.......
I'll assume its a 12
If you want to stay with Pioneer, the TS-W308D4 is a good choice for under $200.
Otherwise, heres a few other suggestions under the $200 mark:
Kenwood
Soundstream

Yea its a 12inch ported. Im guessing most 12" are the same size and if i pull my old one out nearly all other 12" should fit in?
Im assuming all these subs u said here will perform around the same mark? I do have all pioneer but i dont mind mixing it up for most quality
And would it be better to get a Sub at 2ohms or 4ohms?
The majority of 12" subs use a similar mounting diameter, so yes most 12" subs will fit.
Yep they'll all be around the same sort of output, within 1-2db anyway (not really noticeable).
Definitely go with a 4 ohm dual voice coil sub (2 ohm final impedance with the coils wired in parallel). This doubles the output of your amp, from 200wrms to 400wrms.
